We welcome your application to our APA-Accredited Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC). We’re proud to offer a unique and intensive training program to ten psychology interns for the upcoming training year, providing a wide range of training opportunities and serving a diverse group of children, adolescents, and adults from the San Francisco Bay Area. We strive to meet the highest standards for education, training, supervision, and administration for our program and to create a diverse and enriching environment where interns feel respected and supported.
The orientation of our internship program is grounded in the analytic tradition. We are seeking interns with a strong interest in developing the knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent, analytically informed treatments in contemporary healthcare settings. Our interns provide a wide range of psychological services in various hospital-based settings, in some cases utilizing an integrative approach that incorporates biopsychosocial, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, existential, systems, and other perspectives.
COVID-19 Update: To protect patients and staff, our interns are currently working almost entirely from home, providing telehealth patient encounters and receiving supervision and educational trainings through video conferences. 2021-2022 internship interviews will be conducted online.
