About the Program
The program’s purpose is to provide the residents with the skillset necessary to pursue a clinical pharmacist position, academia, or additional training including a postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. We currently offer two resident positions per year.
During the 12 month program, the resident will gain experience throughout the clinical care service lines of our 600 bed quaternary care medical center. We have a strong desire to grow our future clinical pharmacy leaders and seek candidates whose long-term career plans align with our vision and mission.
The PGY1 Residency Program at Sutter Health Medical Center Sacramento is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists through 2026. Program #: 92167.
